Dr. Thomas C. Wolf, is a Nationally Accredited VISX Trainer, who has certified over 300 doctors for the LASIK procedure since 1996.
Dr. Wolf, maintains private practice in Oklahoma and Arkansas, has performed over 2,000 LASIK procedures, and served as Medical Director, of Dean McGee Eye Institute's Stephenson Laser Center, in Oklahoma City.
Dr. Wolf is not only one of the biggest cornea specialists you'll ever meet - he also has one of the biggest hearts.
Dr. Wolf is an Oklahoma City native who attended OSU on a varsity football scholarship. There he combined an unusual blend of scholarship and athleticism: Dean's Honor Role, President's Honor Role, Academic All Big 8, Academic All American, All Big-8 Football Team, Most Valuable Player, Outstanding College Athlete of America, and Tri-captain of the 1974 Fiesta Bowl Championship.
With a choice to pursue professional football or medicine, he chose the latter. Following medical school and residency, Dr. Wolf completed a fellowship in cornea and external diseases at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and returned to Oklahoma City.
Since that time his contribution to the McGee Eye Institute's scientific and scholarly activities has been impressive. Dr. Wolf has served as Principal Investigator on one National Eye Institute clinic research trial and as Co-Investigator on others. He also serves as Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Oklahoma, College of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Wolf's skill as a teacher led him to receive the 1997 Edward and Thelma Gaylord Faculty Teaching Award.
His clinical practice emphasises the new laser refractive surgeries, including LASIK and PRK. He travels throughout the United States training ophthalmologists to perform laser refractive surgery, and is approved by VISX to train ophthalmologists from around the United States in excimer laser surgery.
